Advanpure GmbH receives general operating permit for retrofitting 3.0l Mercedes-Benz vehicles

Hardwarenachrüstung für Mercedes Benz G-Klasse

Advanpure GmbH, a specialist in the field of exhaust aftertreatment, receives another General Operating Permit (ABE) for retrofitting from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). The ABE covers retrofit systems for 12 vehicle models of the Mercedes-Benz Group. These include the following 3.0l models: CLS, GL, GLK, M-Class, S-Class, E-Class and G-Class.

NOx limit value below 270mg/km

A 3.0l G-Class (2008 – 2015) was used for homologation. With the retrofit, NOx emissions are reduced to below 270 mg/km, which brings the vehicle below the legally prescribed limit and is therefore not further affected by diesel driving bans.

3000€ subsidy for affected vehicles

Vehicle owners who are affected by driving bans have the opportunity to apply directly to Mercedes-Benz for a subsidy of up to €3000 for retrofitting their vehicle. Further information on the procedure and conditions can be found on the Mercedes-Benz HW Subsidy Portal.

Further retrofit systems for Land Rover under development

In addition to the existing systems for hardware retrofitting of Mercedes-Benz 3.0l and BMW vehicles with 2.0l and 3.0l engines, further systems for passenger cars/vehicles of the manufacturer Land Rover are currently under development. The approval is expected to be granted before the end of the year.
